Natural Rubber has superior resistance to tear and abrasion, excellent resilience, very good tensile strength, good compression set, high tear strength, low crack growth, excellent rebound elasticity and good flexibility at low temperatures.  It is often used for gaskets sealing water in locations where exposure to weathering is unlikely.  Non-marking compounds are also used as covers for rollers due to its excellent wearing quality.
